We are looking for a passionate and experienced Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in force-free training techniques, comfortable working with a variety of breeds and behavior levels, and has excellent communication skills with both dogs and humans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct private and group dog training sessions using positive reinforcement techniques
- Develop individualized training plans for clients and their dogs
- Educate pet owners on training methods, canine body language, and behavior management
- Track progress and provide regular feedback to clients
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and motivating training environment
- Stay current on best practices, behavioral science, and continuing education in dog training.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional dog training experience preferred
- Strong foundation in positive reinforcement and force-free methods
- Certification from a recognized organization (CPDT-KA, KPA CTP, IAABC, etc.) preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for dogs
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation
