Camp Bow Wow South Asheville is looking for mature, responsible, self-starting, dependable people who want to work with dogs!
General Purpose: Supervising and ensuring the safety of customers’ dogs.
Schedule: Full-time, Part-time
Available shifts are as follows: 6am-2pm, 8:30-4:30pm, and 12-8pm (You must be able to work two of the three shifts)
We are open every day from 6:00am - 7:00pm and have open positions for all hours on Monday - Sunday. As a high-volume dog boarding facility we are busiest during busy travel times, therefore spring break, weekend, and holiday availability is a must for all employees.
This is a serious job as people are paying us to care for their pets.
Job Description:
- Monitor play yards for dogs of all sizes
- Evaluate Dog Behavior, reactions, and interactions with other dogs
- Clean play yards, cabins, and all common spaces.
We are looking for these qualities in an ideal candidate:
*Must love dogs (not just your own)
*Be able to stand for long periods of time
*Be okay with cleaning and lifting
*Show up to work
*Show up to work on time
*Understand how to communicate with others and like to take initiative
*Be a team player
*Follow directions and pay attention to detail
*Problem solver
*Getting dirty doesn't bother you
*Be able to rise and shine very early in the morning
*Treat dogs as if they are your own, even when there are over 100 at Camp
*Be able to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. If you cannot do this, don't apply, this job is not for you.
*Must have reliable transportation
*MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SUNDAYS!
Education/Experience:
- Must love dogs!!!
- Training provided
The right candidate will have these traits:
*Ability to take direction from superior and work with other team members as well as independently perform physically demanding work
*Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds AND remain on your feet for long periods of time
*Manage multi-dog play groups
*The ability to work with large and small dogs and all breeds
*Effectively communicate both orally and written
*Energetic and positive attitude
*Punctual and dependable
*Have reliable transportation
*Able to make good use of time
*Have a passion for dogs!!
