Copper Hills Youth Center is a 24/7 secure behavioral health residential treatment center for male and female adolescents aged 12 through 17. We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Responsibilities
- Transport adolescents in a residential behavioral facility to and from clinical appointments such as dental, vision and medical when required as well as emergency runs when needed.
- Must be able to stay alert, maintain line of sight and keep appropriate supervision of residents when off campus.
- Ability to anticipate potentially unsafe situations and proactively intervene to assure the appropriate safety and behaviors of residents.
- Provide appropriate crisis interventions when necessary by responding quickly to escalating behaviors by using verbal de-escalation techniques and/or utilizing proper restraint techniques while displaying neutral emotions.
- Maintain the safety, maintenance and cleanliness of all company fleet vehicles through weekly vehicle checks/upkeep and getting all vehicles in in a timely manner for all maintenance work needed.
- Maintain all General Service storage rooms by completing monthly inventories. Search, label and inventory all incoming items for residents whether through admission, mailed in packages or care packages brought in by visitors, ensuring no contraband comes into the facility.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1 year experience working in a similar program preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Minimum 21 years old
- Valid State Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be able to work effectively independently; as well as in a team environment
- Must have effective Problem Solving Skills
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to think and respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations and make independent decisions
