Ivy Tech Evansville seeks an Early Childhood Education Completion Specialist. This role is responsible for providing support to academic teams and advisors for Early Childhood Education students. The Academic Retention/Completion Specialist will assist faculty & academic advisors in maintaining students’ academic plans and ensuring productive enrollment that aligns to the Ivy Tech CDA CT credential and the Adult-Based Apprenticeship Model. Position reports to the Early Childhood Education Program Chair.

Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with campus academic ECED team to establish and maintain a productive student experience throughout students’ academic journey with Ivy Tech.
- Maintain contact with assigned students throughout the term/semester, encouraging them to continue to enroll in courses with the goal of certificate/pathway completion.
- Support academic and faculty advisors by monitoring the academic progress of assigned ECED students and ensuring their enrollment aligns with individual Academic Completion Plans and Degree Tracker.
- Provide reports (cadence determined by leadership team) for tracking and quality assurance/improvement to campus leadership team, ECED Expansion Grant, ECED faculty, Adult-Based Apprenticeship Team, AYD and ECED Partners.
- Collaborate with the Registrar in auditing and awarding credentials at the end of each semester.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service (Concierge) or student advocacy mindset through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, and problem-solving.
- Serve as the contact person for the Council of Professional Recognition for processing student vouchers, student invoices and Verification Visit honorarium payments to the Foundation.
Work Hours:
- Typical business work hours, may be adjusted during peak times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be available to work in person on the Evansville, IN campus.
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 21 graduate credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
- Experience working in higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, implement, and evaluate program(s).
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and virtual engagement are required
- Must possess required knowledge and skills of computers and related software applications for program planning, implementation, including record keeping
- Must have reliable internet access for mobile office or work at home environment.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently and exercise responsible judgement. Must be customer-oriented, a self-starter, well organized and able to work independently.
- Hold a current PDS (Professional Development Specialist) credential with the Council of Professional Recognition or obtain one upon employment.
