Job Description Summary: Minimum starting salary 15.75 / hour
Admission specialist adds all new clients into the Avatar system and will also update current client demographic and/or payer information as needed. They run reports for upcoming appointments to verify financial eligibility and demographic data updates. Admission Specialist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Admission Specialist provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of medical office experience or billing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Using Ozark Center procedures and tools, accurately adds or updates client information, assuring that all fields in the admission screens are populated when completing financial updates/intakes.
- Explain Financial Consent to Clients
- Work assigned financial and demographic reports.
- Ensure documents are scanned into the electronic medical record (Avatar).

Physical Requirements:
- TB test upon hire
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as needed
