We are currently seeking an Electrical QCX Superintendent to support a mission-critical data center project in Montgomery, Alabama. This key role provides on-site leadership for electrical QA/QC and commissioning (Cx) activities, ensuring successful execution across Cx Levels 1 through 5. As a subject matter expert, you will coordinate daily testing operations, validate electrical installations, and manage documentation using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). The position requires hands-on technical oversight, issue resolution, and collaboration with vendors, trade partners, and QA/QC teams to ensure project milestones are met with precision and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support overall QA/QC and commissioning (Cx) program on-site.
- Coordinate daily Cx activities and attend Cx-specific meetings.
- Assist the Energy Marshall with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) reviews with trade partners.
- Serve as an on-site subject matter expert, providing solutions and technical insight for commissioning-related issues.
- Ensure all issues and resolutions across Cx Levels 1–5 are documented and tracked in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Manage documentation and compliance for Cx Level transitions (Lv1–Lv5) according to Asset Tracking Log (ATL) requirements.
- Participate in the 6-step Quality Control process to schedule inspections, validate issue corrections, and closeout documentation.
- Conduct daily Level 2 inspections of installed equipment, verifying:
- Provide administrative and scheduling support for Level 3, 4, and 5 testing
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of commissioning and QA/QC workflows within mission-critical construction environments.
- Experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and other commissioning platforms.
- Technical Expertise in Electrical Systems: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning processes, and relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance and effective troubleshooting.
- Project Management and Coordination: Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate daily activities, manage timelines, and facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Proficiency in documentation management, particularly with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), to ensure all issues and resolutions are properly recorded and maintain quality control throughout the commissioning process.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Journeymen's License required
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required when applicable
