Where do you fit in?
The Environmental Intern position offers a dynamic work environment where you will collaborate on a variety of stormwater management projects, balancing both office-based tasks and independent field work.
Essential Job Functions:
Utilize mapping and data collection tools such as ARCGIS Pro and Trimble GPS systems to enhance project documentation and analysis
Prepare detailed reports, including daily work reports, client inspection reports, and project site records.
Accurately document field activities and track work quantities throughout project lifecycles
Traveling to an from job sites as well as the yard
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors both in written and verbal formats
Follow through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command
Demonstrate the mission, vision, and core values of the organization through conduct, behavior, actions, and words
Maintain positive working relationships and foster cooperative work environment
Display honesty and mutual respect when communicating with peers and other departments
Perform other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classification
Qualifications:
Upcoming junior or senior year of Bachelor of Science program in environmental studies, engineering, ecology, construction management or compatible courses of study preferred
Basic understanding of stormwater systems, drainage, and water-related infrastructure
Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Valid driver's license, ability to maintain insurable status under the company's auto policy
Willing and able to travel locally
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field
