We are building an innovative, collaborative team who will help shape the future of care at Med Center Health. The Epic Clinical Informaticist role will support both the initial implementation and the continued maintenance and optimization of Epic following go-live.

Position Summary
The Epic Clinical Informaticist serves as the bridge between clinical practice and technology, ensuring Epic workflows and tools effectively support patient care. This role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to analyze clinical needs, design efficient workflows, and optimize Epic functionality for usability, compliance, and quality outcomes. By combining clinical expertise with informatics skills, the Epic Clinical Informaticist drives system adoption, enhances documentation accuracy, and supports continuous improvement in patient care processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with clinical leaders and front-line staff to assess workflow needs and translate them into Epic system design and configuration.
- Participates in building, configuring, and testing Epic modules that support clinical documentation, order entry, decision support, and other care delivery functions.
- Assists in the development of training materials and provide hands-on education for clinical users.
- Supports end-users during go-live and post-implementation optimization, ensuring adoption of best practice workflows.
- Monitors system usage and data quality, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions that enhance patient care and provider efficiency.
- Ensures system changes are documented clearly and that workflows comply with clinical and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related clinical discipline required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required; experience in healthcare IT, EHR systems, or clinical informatics preferred.
- License: Active Clinical License (RN, MT/MLT, RT, etc.) required.
- Certification: Epic training and certification will be provided at no cost in exchange for a 2 year work commitment.
