Job Details:
SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the case management of alleged violations of law or policy or other misconduct that are made through the Tyson Ethics Line, Tell Tyson First, or other ethics reporting mechanisms.
Case management includes:
  • The assessment and triage of reports (including identifying the allegations, assigning the appropriate investigative team or business partner to handle, and immediately escalating highest risk reports)
  • Reviewing investigations (ensuring investigative work product and resolution are fair and consistent with investigative and case management governance and other policy requirements)
  • Resolution/remediation
  • This role will also be responsible for analyzing ethical data and providing reporting/trending to stakeholders (e.g., HR, Legal, the Board) both proactively (identifying problems before they become investigations) and in response to ad hoc requests.
Due to the nature of the reported allegations involving suspected violations of the law, regulations, company policies, and provisions of the Code of Conduct, this position requires:
  • A high level of personal/professional integrity
  • A thorough understanding of the application of policy and investigative protocols
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of personnel
  • Maintaining extreme confidentiality
  • This role is also responsible for training stakeholders on ethics case management procedures, the ethics case management system, and ethics data interpretation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and track reports to ethics from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure cases are completely and accurately documented, investigated/handled according to case management governance, and have consistent/fair outcomes.
  • Audit cases that pose the highest risk to the company to ensure these matters have been fully investigated and effectively resolved.
  • Analyze ethics data and identify trends, areas for improvement, and actionable insights for senior leaders, including the Board of Directors.
  • Serve as a resource for team members and leaders seeking advice on ethical issues or dilemmas, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Proactively identify reporting and case management process improvements/challenges and independently implement solutions.
  • Provide training and awareness to team members on how to report ethical concerns and use the ethics case management system.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience.
  • Computer Skills: 5+ years of experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Conflict resolution management
  • Supervisory: N/A
  • Travel: Minimal
  • Additional Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple cases/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
