We are seeking a talented and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic team and play a key role in providing high-quality dental care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, and bridges.
- Take X-rays accurately.
- Perform coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- Take impressions and fabricate temporary restorations.
- Provide patient education and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Manage dental materials and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Support front office with scheduling and patient communication as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid EFDA certification.
- Proven experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus.
