Medical Assistant
A new family medicine practice in San Antonio at I-10 and De Zavala Rd is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a pro-active self starter with excellent organizational and clinical skills.
Office hours Mon-Sat 10am-8pm, closed on Sun

Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in family medicine
- Experience with all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant (procedures, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, lab work, prescription refills).
- Rooming patients, taking vitals and history.
- Recording patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinating patient care as directed by physicians.
- Respecting patient confidentiality at all times.
- Organizing exam and treatment rooms, stocking and cleaning rooms and sterilizing instruments.
- Assisting with phones and front office as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum requirements:
- 2 year experience as a medical assistant
- Able to draw blood samples
- Highly proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, Practice Management Software, and Electronic Medical Records.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
