Thompson's Nursery, Inc. is seeking a skilled plant nursery professional, specializing in propagation from cuttings. The primary plants for propagation include azaleas, viburnum and podocarpus.
We have a small plant nursery and need a person that is dependable, has a good work ethic and attitude.
Duties:
- Propagate cuttings
- Perform landscaping duties including, but not limited to, light maintenance and pruning of trees and shrubs, and watering plants.
- Perform duties to maintain plants in our nursery, to include trimming, fertilizing, weeding, watering, stepping up to next size pot.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform general physical work such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling up to 75 pounds, standing for an entire shift, using power tools/hand tools, etc.
- Ability to operate power tools/hand tools in a safe manner required.
- Must have propagation experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
