Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance and electrical components with a focus on ensuring the optimal operation of our facility's equipment and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, as well as excellent customer service skills to support internal teams.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC systems.
- Utilize automation software for tracking maintenance activities and scheduling.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and components to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct field service tasks, including installation and repair of equipment at various locations as needed.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other tools to diagnose electrical issues.
- Execute welding tasks including stick welding for repairs or modifications on facility equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand electrical systems and mechanical layouts for effective troubleshooting.
- Operate scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas during maintenance tasks.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations while performing duties in high voltage and low voltage environments.
- Provide technical sales support when necessary, assisting in the evaluation of equipment needs for internal customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing facility is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is preferred; certification is a plus.
- Previous experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for effective customer service interactions.
- Experience with electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
