The Department of Natural History is seeking a federal work study student for an administrative assistant position. The administrative assistant will collaborate closely with the Natural History Department Admin in completing required duties and assigned projects. This role requires 10 to 12 hours per week in person at Dickinson Hall for at least two semesters. Must have availability on Fridays, 11am-5pm.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Event and meeting setup
- Webpage updates and maintenance, including reviewing and editing blog posts
- Sort incoming mail, assist in processing outgoing mail
- Common office activities including data entry, printing, scanning, copying, filing
- Other general duties as assigned
$14/hour
- Federal Work Study award required. Award must cover Fall 2023, Spring 2024
- Ability to work in person at Dickinson Hall, 10 to 12 hours per week. Availability on Fridays, 11am-5pm required. Other hours typically scheduled Monday thru Thursday between 8:00am and 5:00pm
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience in administrative, clerical and/or customer service
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Evidence of organization and diligence
