Pacific Northern Environmental LLC (PNE LLC) is seeking a Financial Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.


Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (TPC), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we conduct projects across the United States.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support key business decisions. This role plays a critical part in budgeting, reporting, and evaluating financial performance by collecting data, conducting research, and developing financial models. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Education and Experience Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of analyst or accounting experience required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Excel) and financial modeling.
  • Construction/Trades industry experience strongly preferred, however not required.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license required and must meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:


  • Provide direct financial and analytical support to the CFO by preparing executive-level reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Lead or support special projects delegated by the CFO, such as system implementations, acquisitions, efficiency improvements, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives with financial insights.
  • Analyze project costs, budgets, and profitability across multiple companies/job sites to support operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Track and forecast job costing data, labor hours, material usage, subcontractor expenses, and overhead allocations to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Develop and maintain annual budgeting and monthly forecasting models to support business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that support decision-making related to project planning, resource allocation, equipment utilization, and regional expansion.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of changes in labor, materials, scope, or schedule.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics including cash flow projections, billing schedules, working capital, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist/prepare and review work-in-progress (WIP) reports to support accurate revenue recognition and compliance with construction accounting standards.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end close processes, including reviewing construction-specific financial entries such as retainage and over/under billing.
  • Create and enhance dashboards, KPIs, and visual reports to communicate insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support internal controls, compliance, and audit preparation by maintaining documentation and responding to external inquiries.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting practices.
  • Monitor economic and industry trends, as well as regulatory changes that may impact business performance or financial strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:


  • Move about the office as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 10lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
  • Communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
