Job Summary
We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Food Manager to lead and optimize our food production operations. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in supply chain management, stringent quality control, and continuous process improvement. This pivotal role demands a comprehensive understanding of production planning and mechanical expertise to ensure operational efficiency and the consistent delivery of high-quality food products. The Food Manager will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lean practices, all while upholding strict compliance with safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct and manage daily food production activities, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and implement strategic supply chain management initiatives to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality control inspections at all stages of the production process to guarantee product integrity and compliance.
- Production Planning & Execution: Design and execute comprehensive production schedules to effectively meet demand and optimize resource allocation.
- System Management: Utilize SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for precise inventory tracking, efficient order management, and detailed production metric reporting.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Champion and lead initiatives focused on lean methodologies and continuous improvement within the food production environment.
- Team Leadership & Development: Assemble, train, and mentor high-performing teams for various projects aimed at process enhancement and operational efficiency, while also instilling best practices in food safety and quality assurance.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster strong collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure seamless operational flow and integrated supply chain processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food management or a related field, with a strong emphasis on supply chain management.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and industry standards pertinent to food production.
- Demonstrated familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in production planning combined with relevant mechanical knowledge of food processing equipment.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar inventory management systems is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and guide team members.
- Strong analytical acumen for evaluating operational performance and implementing data-driven improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
