Overview
The Food & Beverage Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage services. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about the culinary arts and possesses strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Lead and manage the food and beverage team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing and cash handling.
- Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and service delivery.
- Supervise daily operations, including shift management and kitchen management tasks.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management for the food service department.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, address inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management roles, preferably in quick service or fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Experience with inventory control and budgeting within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to train, develop, and motivate staff effectively while fostering teamwork.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred).
- Previous experience in supervising teams, conducting interviews, and managing shifts is essential.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable.
