Greenwood County Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in the beautiful Flint Hills of Eureka, Kansas. We provide compassionate, high-quality care to the people of Greenwood County and surrounding communities. As a vital part of our leadership team, the Foundation and Marketing Director will lead efforts to enhance community engagement, grow philanthropic support, and elevate our brand presence in the region.
Position Summary:
The Foundation and Marketing Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation and leading the hospital’s strategic marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives. This position plays a key role in building community trust, expanding donor relationships, and telling the story of our mission through thoughtful marketing and outreach.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and collaborating closely with hospital leadership and the Foundation Board, this role combines relationship-building with strategic planning to advance the hospital’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grant writing, and planned giving strategies
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, community members, and local businesses
- Manage Foundation Board activities, donor stewardship, and special events
- Lead marketing and public relations strategies to promote services, providers, and community impact
- Oversee digital and print marketing efforts, including website content, social media, advertising, and newsletters
- Coordinate community outreach programs, media relations, and internal communication efforts
- Collaborate with hospital departments to support service line promotion and reputation management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, or healthcare communications
- Experience working with or supporting nonprofit boards preferred
- Strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships
- Passion for rural healthcare and community engagement
