Front Desk Receptionist
A reputable group of Ophthalmologists based in Broward County is seeking a pro-active, customer service oriented Front Desk Receptionist to work with a talented team of physicians. The ideal candidate is an energetic, enthusiastic go-getter who can work with a wide variety of personalities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year prior experience as a medical front desk receptionist
- Strong focus on customer service
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Pleasant and professional phone demeanor
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow up and follow through and complete work on time
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or Practice Management system(s)
- Must be proficient with computers and general office equipment
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Team player
Responsibilities/Duties (including but not limited to):
- Using a Practice Management and EHR system – Next Gen knowledge is a plus
- Greet patients and visitors and answer their general office questions
- Register patients, verify and update demographics, assist patients in completing forms and document all the information received
- Explains financial responsibilities to the patient and collect payments
- Monitor and schedule patients and providers appointments
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls
- Maintain work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner at all times
- General office work
