We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Office Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing exceptional service to patients and visitors while managing administrative tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office environment and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage medical scheduling, including appointment bookings and confirmations.
- Handle phone systems effectively, addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed.
- Assist with medical coding using ICD-10 standards to ensure accurate billing.
- Support medical collections by processing payments and following up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain patient records in GGastro ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline office operations.
- Perform front desk duties, including filing, data entry,collection of records for consults and follow up appointments and managing correspondence.
Skills
- Proficency in insurance elgibility must understand copay , coinsurance and deductible information
- Proficiency in office management practices and procedures.
- Experience with medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Familiarity with medical coding standards, particularly ICD-10.
- Knowledge of EHR systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Medicare processes and requirements..
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.81 per hour
