We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage medical scheduling, including appointment bookings and confirmations.
- Assist with medical billing processes, including knowledge of Medicare and insurance claims.
- Maintain accurate patient records using ICD-10 coding systems.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks as needed.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding clinic services.
- Support the dental clinic operations by coordinating patient flow and assisting with administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or dental clinic setting is required.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance verification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 is advantageous but not mandatory.
