Job Summary: The Furniture Sales Professional will be responsible for providing fair and honest customer service before, during, and after the sale of furniture and mattresses. The Sales Professional must have ability to effectively build rapport with customers in order to generate successful sales and aid in the growth of our business. All activities must be carried out in a professional and ethical manner.
Job Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of furniture and mattresses in order to best inform customers about products that best fit their wants/needs.
Track open orders and keep customers informed of any changes regarding their order.
Demonstrate punctuality and time management skills to gain dependability and fulfill obligations each workday.
Self-motivated to maintain acceptable level of sales performance in product sales, fabric protection, leather protection, mattress protectors and all other furniture accessories.
Help all customers or coworkers in need and assist in merchandise display, store cleanliness and store appearance in order to support a team working environment.
Optimize the use of sales generating mediums such as telesales and internet sales
Willingness to assist customers with service challenges and aid them to a mutually acceptable resolution.
Communicate effectively with customers, management and colleagues in order to keep information flowing within the organization and ensure high quality performance.
Keep up with industry specific computer system in order to effectively enter customer purchase orders and track inventory.
Various other projects/duties as assigned.
The Furniture Sales Professional must have the ability to learn our computer system as well as know how to administer financing and check/credit card transactions. A demonstrated interest in interior design is beneficial. Post High School education is desired; previous commission based sales experience is desired.
With monthly commission $50,000-$60,000 a year. Guaranteed hourly rate depending on experience. At Van Vreede’s, we pay commission on written sales, not delivered or installed sales. That means you don’t have to wait months for something to be delivered in order to get paid. As soon as the sale is written and booked, it counts toward your monthly pay. This gives new hires a chance to start earning right away, without the long lag time that’s common in other commission-based environments.
