Gardener Job Description
Wage: $14-16/hour DOE
Shift: Seasonal – March-October with possibility of winter work. 30-39 hours per week. Mon-Fri with some Saturdays. In the spring, 7am – 3:30pm; in the fall, 6am – 2:30pm.

Responsibilities:
General gardening, weeding, flower deadheading, planting, pruning, cultivating and topdressing of flower and shrub beds.
Seasonal flower planting and removal along with pruning of perennials and ornamental grasses.
Keep garden beautiful by sweeping paths, collecting and emptying garbage, and raking.
Install holiday lights.
Uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission and Values.
Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Requirements:
Hard working with the ability to understand and carry out directions.
Manages time effectively and is productive without direct supervision.
Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Has an eye for detail with specific attention to gardening standards.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
1-2 years of gardening experience preferred but not required.
Must pass a background check.
Be at least 16 years old.
