Position Description

Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy that strengthens brand visibility, drives lead generation and conversion, and supports organizational growth. This role oversees all digital marketing initiatives including paid media, SEO, website optimization, email marketing, and analytics. The Director of Digital Marketing will supervise the Digital Marketing Manager and work closely with the Creative Director, Content and Communications Director, and other key team members to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign integration across all digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-collaborative environment, bringing together pieces to shape strategy and ensure alignment across teams. This individual will not only be adept at developing the “how” — the tactical execution of digital marketing initiatives — but will also establish clear methods to measure the effectiveness of those tactics. They will have the ability to translate data and performance insights into actionable decisions that drive optimization and inform broader strategies. In close partnership with the content and creative teams, the Director of Digital Marketing will operationalize digital strategy into actionable plans that can be executed, tracked, and refined for maximum impact.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to create compelling and targeted ad creatives.

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Define structure and strategy for automated email marketing campaigns.
  • Improve segmentation, testing, and performance tracking.
  • Work in collaboration with the Content and Communications Director to ensure consistent voice and message.

Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Analyze data and campaign performance to optimize strategy and inform decision-making.
  • Provide regular insights and performance reports to internal stakeholders.

Website & SEO

  • Lead website performance optimization including UX, accessibility, and conversion paths.
  • Oversee SEO strategy and implementation including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, and content alignment.

  • Manage and support the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Content and Communications Director and other teams to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns.
