We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. GOTR is a physical activity-based positive youth development program that is designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences. Position Description
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy that strengthens brand visibility, drives lead generation and conversion, and supports organizational growth. This role oversees all digital marketing initiatives including paid media, SEO, website optimization, email marketing, and analytics. The Director of Digital Marketing will supervise the Digital Marketing Manager and work closely with the Creative Director, Content and Communications Director, and other key team members to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign integration across all digital platforms.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-collaborative environment, bringing together pieces to shape strategy and ensure alignment across teams. This individual will not only be adept at developing the “how” — the tactical execution of digital marketing initiatives — but will also establish clear methods to measure the effectiveness of those tactics. They will have the ability to translate data and performance insights into actionable decisions that drive optimization and inform broader strategies. In close partnership with the content and creative teams, the Director of Digital Marketing will operationalize digital strategy into actionable plans that can be executed, tracked, and refined for maximum impact.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Digital Strategy & Lead Generation
- Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy that supports audience growth, lead generation, and user engagement.
- Design and execute multi-channel lead nurturing campaigns using automation, retargeting, and segmentation.
- Align digital strategy with organizational goals, fundraising campaigns, and recruitment efforts.
Paid Media & Search Campaigns
- Oversee digital ad campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) and maximize return on investment.
- Optimize use of Google Ad Grant to increase traffic, visibility, and conversions.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to create compelling and targeted ad creatives.
Email Marketing & Automation
- Define structure and strategy for automated email marketing campaigns.
- Improve segmentation, testing, and performance tracking.
- Work in collaboration with the Content and Communications Director to ensure consistent voice and message.
Analytics & Performance Measurement
- Build a comprehensive reporting and analytics framework across digital platforms.
- Analyze data and campaign performance to optimize strategy and inform decision-making.
- Provide regular insights and performance reports to internal stakeholders.
Website & SEO
- Lead website performance optimization including UX, accessibility, and conversion paths.
- Oversee SEO strategy and implementation including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, and content alignment.
- Manage relationships with external developers and vendors as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and support the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Collaborate with the Content and Communications Director and other teams to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns.
- Serve as a digital subject matter expert across the organization.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, including leadership experience.
- Ability to lead and develop team members
- Proven project management experience utilizing tools such as Asana
- Demonstrated success in lead generation, paid digital media, SEO, and email marketing.
- Proficient in digital tools such as Google Ads, Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite, and CRM platforms.
- Experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in nonprofit, education or youth development sectors is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in a remote environment and/or franchise model is a plus.

While this position is remote, residency in one of the following states is required: CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, LA, NC, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY.
This is a remote, exempt, full-time position at 40 hours per week, offering a compensation range of $84,000-$88,000 depending on experience.
