We are seeking a skilled and experienced GIS Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities

·       Support the collection, organization, and dissemination of immersive imagery, geospatial data, and real property inventories for U.S. Marine Corps ranges and training areas. This includes 360-degree image capture, immersive video production, GIS integration, and the development of interactive range inventory products in support of long-range planning and operational visibility.·       Utilize commercial grade 360 degree camera (e.g., 30 megapixels or better) and lenses to capture and produce 360-degree images, panoramic photos, and 360-degree immersive video clips of Marine Corps Range and Training Areas (RTAs) in support of program objectives. ·       Utilize survey grade standard (e.g., Archer, Trimble, etc.) GPS to record the scene coordinates of every photo taken and survey grade USB GPS puck receiver (SX Blue or greater) to record the GPS path embedded into the immersive video clips.·       Produce a GIS layer that contains all the photo points (one layer per Military Installation)·       Produce and maintain a detailed inventory of USMC ranges, training areas, and associated facilities.·       Provide updated geospatial inventories of range and training area assets.·       Leveraging existing and forthcoming Range Complex Management Plans (RCMPs) to support and update written inventories, ensuring consistency with the matrix-style format utilized in RCMP documentation·       The inventory shall be developed as an interactive electronic document that supports internal search capabilities and provides dynamic linkages to maps, tables, and graphics for intuitive navigation and usability.·       Inventories will be updated throughout the duration of this effort to ensure deliverables reflect the most current available data, including newly identified locations and subject matter.·       Complete an evaluation and prepare an installation-by-installation data development plan and month-by-month execution schedule in support of collecting photos, immersive video, GIS data, and real property inventory for the Range and Training Areas and features identified for each Marine Corps facility.·       Build and maintain GIS databases containing information about range features and relevant data. 

Travel:

·       Travel is required in support of this role to collect images, video, and data. Approximately 11 multi-day trips per year in support of USMC ranges, training areas, and associated facilities. Trips range from 1 to 4 days in duration and includes 1 trip to Marine Corps Installations on Japan.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

·       Security Clearance Required: Must possess a Secret or Interim Secret Clearance.
·       Must possess a US Passport with 6 or more months of validity or be willing to apply for one.·       Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS software suite: ArcGIS Server/Desktop, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.·       Experience with geospatial database management (e.g., Enterprise Geodatabases, SQL Server, PostGIS).·       Familiarity with DoD SDSFIE, FGDC metadata standards, and other geospatial data compliance requirements.·       Experience with remote sensing, GPS, CAD-to-GIS integration, and spatial modeling preferred.·       Prior experience supporting U.S. Marine Corps or other military service branches.·       Knowledge of Marine Corps Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) programs.·       Familiar with image and video processing tools such as the latest version of PTGui, GoPro Fusion studio, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro, or Final Cut Pro X.·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.·       Capable of working efficiently within a military environment, while adhering to established command and staff procedures, especially those involving staff coordination and chain of command.
