Job Description:
The Role
The Head of Advanced Trading is responsible for driving Fidelity’s Advanced Trader retail offering. This includes management of our Advanced Trading solutions such as Options, Margin, Securities Lending, and the strategic direction of our Advanced Trader platforms and customer experiences. They will define key customer offerings and lead the strategy to drive customer growth and adoption. This position reports directly to the Head of Fidelity Brokerage Product Strategy. The team’s mission is to be the catalyst for growth and innovation by bringing to market solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and communicate the Advanced Trading strategy based upon a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, competitive market offerings, client/customer experience, and positioning of existing and new offerings.
Leads the visioning that defines new initiatives and opportunities that drive acquisition, development, and/or retention of customer segments.
Build business plans inclusive of revenue modeling, pricing, and expenses while setting priority, sequencing and phasing of deliverables, and the go-to-market strategy with key value propositions.
Partner closely with product delivery, marketing, and distribution to develop, manage and execute the strategy.
Work closely with senior leaders on integrating the product strategy within their business to effectively shape priorities for the team.
Partner with marketing to define go-to-market strategies to grow customers and increase market share
Communicate strategy for regulatory and legislative trends, and the client/customer experience.
Provide market facing commentary to the media, clients and key relationships through partnering with our Business Development, Relationship Management, Public Relations and Client Service teams.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors or other market participants.
Manage a team of strategists that assist with roadmap development, feature design, business planning, and KPI management.
The Skills and Expertise You Bring
MBA or equivalent is preferred.
Series 7 or 24 preferred
15+ year of experience in financial services
Advanced Trading markets or relevant brokerage experience with similar investment vehicles
Proven track record leveraging data to identify go to market offerings
Defining strategic roadmaps and leading the development of solutions and offerings aligned with and in support of the strategic direction of the business.
Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with executive leadership and influencing at all levels of the organization
Continuous improvement approach and encourage and enable an agile way of working.
Leadership skills with a focus on critical thinking, creativity, and execution.
Committed to building a balance of technology and non-technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers
