LaborFirst is seeking a healthcare-savvy data analyst to join our growing team. This is not a typical reporting role—while dashboards and metrics are important, you’ll be driving business decisions, proving program impact, and helping shape how care is delivered to retirees and active members across the country.
You’ll work cross-functionally with our Member Services, Operations, and Technology teams to generate insights from medical and pharmacy claims, call center interactions, prior authorizations, and member behavior. The goal: improve outcomes, lower costs, and make our services more effective.
- Analyze medical and pharmacy claims data to show how our services (care navigation, vendor programs, etc.) improve outcomes and reduce costs.
- Support client reporting with clear, defensible program ROI insights.
- Measure cost-to-serve across services: average cost per member, per case, per call.
- Analyze call handle times, case volumes, staffing ratios, and recommend efficiencies.
- Identify patterns in member outreach (e.g., times of day, reasons for calling).
- Evaluate which communication methods work best (phone, text, email, mail).
- Compare active vs. retiree behavior to tailor engagement strategies.
- Flag high-cost or low-quality provider usage and identify redirect opportunities.
- Use prior authorization data to support proactive outreach before complex care events.
- Assess whether our tools (e.g., enrollment platforms, communication tools) are saving time, reducing costs, or improving member experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, payer/provider operations, or health data consulting.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong skills in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Experience with medical claims, pharmacy data, and care navigation is a must.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Healthcare, point solutions, or service call centers.
- Ability to turn complex data into actionable stories for business and client leaders.
