Job Summary:
The Healthcare Recruiter at Healthier Mississippi People (HMP) plays a key role on the Talent Acquisition Team, responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for a wide range of healthcare positions. This role supports HMP’s mission by identifying, attracting, and securing top healthcare talent while ensuring a smooth, timely, and professional experience for applicants and hiring managers at contracted facilities. The Recruiter serves as a primary point of contact for candidates and hiring partners, emphasizing exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the recruitment cycle. Although there is some room for flex work with HMP, this position is expected to be available in office during regular working hours (8:00am – 5:00pm) unless scheduled to work outside of the office.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Talent Identification & Sourcing:
Actively search for qualified healthcare professionals through job boards, professional networks, social media, referrals, and in-person networking events. Participate in job fairs, classroom visits, and community engagement events to promote HMP’s opportunities.
Candidate Screening & Evaluation:
Review resumes, conduct phone screenings and preliminary interviews, and assess candidate fit based on skills, experience, credentials, and client facility requirements.
Interview Coordination:
Ensure clear communication and logistical planning to support a positive interview experience.
Offer Negotiation & Hiring Support:
Extend offers, negotiate salary and bonus, if applicable, and support a fair and timely decision-making process.
Onboarding Assistance:
Provide guidance through the onboarding process, helping new hires complete required documentation and integrate smoothly into their roles.
Support:
Constant promotion and implementation of strategic initiatives set forth by HMP leadership. Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve processes. Displays professionalism, positive customer service, organization, and project management skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks

- Experience with Microsoft suite of products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
Education and Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in healthcare recruiting and/or human resources.
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- Proven customer service experience required
