Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is critical in delivering high-quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering a supportive environment that enhances their quality of life.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home, home health, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and meal preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience in senior care or working with individuals who have dementia is a plus.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
