Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Office Coordinator to support our home health agency’s administrative operations. The Office Coordinator will serve as a vital liaison between clinical staff, patients, and referral sources, ensuring smooth day-to-day office functions, compliance with healthcare regulations, and timely patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily office operations and workflows to support field clinicians and administrative staff.
- Manage patient intake, verify insurance, and obtain authorizations for services.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and referral sources.
- Ensure timely documentation and submission of required forms, assessments, and reports.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and answering phones.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or home health administrative setting
- Knowledge of home health regulations (CMS, Medicare, state regulations) is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Kinnser, Axxess, Homecare Homebase) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual fluency (English and [Spanish or other languages]) is preferred.
