Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent guest relations. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be assisting guests with their dining experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Assist guests with inquiries or concerns, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Utilize POS systems for managing waitlists and reservations as needed.
- Support food service staff during peak hours to enhance guest experiences.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for food service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
