Overview
Hi, we are a mom and pop diner located in Midtown Sacramento, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Professional to primarily greet & seat guests, buss and reset tables and occasionally help food run to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Front of House plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service within the hospitality industry.
Pay is $18 per hour, plus daily pooled tips & weekly pay. Meal every shift. Easy to switch shifts for time needed off. A positive workplace! We care about each person on the team and each customers experience. Thursday through Sunday 9-2:45/3ish.
Responsibilities
- Greet each guest who comes through our door warmly.
- Host and give reasonable wait times to guests waiting, keep open communication with guests.
- Sweep store front.
- When needed help deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service and communicate any special requests or modifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Assist servers in delivering orders and providing excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a hospitality setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 27 per week
