Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient guest flow within the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support waitstaff during busy periods by helping with guest needs or special requests.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred, especially in restaurants or hotels.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage guest relations positively and professionally.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
