Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have a passion for hospitality, making every guest feel valued and appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in managing reservations and ensuring that all guests are seated promptly.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and promotional materials.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar restaurant management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive guest relations and team collaboration.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within the restaurant setting.
