Overview
The Hotel Revenue Clerk is responsible for accurately recording, verifying, and reporting daily hotel income and supporting the financial accountability of our front office and guest services. This role works closely with hotel leadership and help support the long-term financial health of the Navajo Nation Inn.
Duties
- Compile and verify daily financial transactions including guest charges, payments, and deposits
- Reconcile revenue from rooms, food & beverage, and other services
- Prepare daily and monthly revenue reports and summaries for management review
- Monitor rate codes, occupancy reports, and over/under balances
- Ensure data entry accuracy in accounting systems and hotel software (training provided)
- Assist in financial audits and compliance with Navajo Nation accounting standards
- Maintain secure, organized financial records and assist with month-end close
- Identify and report discrepancies or patterns that affect profitability
- Work Guest Services/ front desk shifts.
Skills
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in business or accounting preferred
- Prior experience in hotel, finance, or clerical work is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with hotel PMS or accounting software a bonus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Preference given to applicants who are enrolled members of the Navajo Nation
