Summary
- Hospital cleaners sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
- Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms.
- Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
Schedule
Part-time, Casual position
Various shifts, Monday-Friday | Approximately 16 hours per two weeks
No weekends or holidays
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay begins at $17.41 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
Pay range: $15.12 - $23.62 per hour
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
- Previous cleaning experience in health care facility preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
- Ability to use cleaning items and cleaning products, including but not limited to mops, floor cleaners, scouring pads, buffers and vacuums.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position during the assigned shift.
- Ability to care for equipment, measure cleaning products and be alert to potential hazards.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
