Position Overview:
The HR Assistant provides essential administrative and project-based support to the Human Resources department. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, professional, and ready to contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take and prepare meeting minutes for internal HR meetings
- Assist in organizing materials for Board of Directors meetings
- Track and manage employee performance evaluations and leave applications (e.g., FMLA, Disability, Paid Family Leave)
- Support payroll processes by helping managers with Paycom setup and sending reminders for timecard approvals
- Assist with internal communications, including newsletters, staff recognition, and maintaining a company culture calendar
- Handle general HR inquiries, company mail, and minor website updates
- Greet visitors and job candidates with professionalism and warmth
- Provide direct administrative support to the HR Manager across various projects
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and office software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in HR or administrative support roles
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Paycom
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
