Job Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This position is responsible for administering HR policies and procedures, supporting employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and other HR functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and employee support.
- Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation and exit interviews.
- Maintain employee records in HRIS and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with the recruitment process: job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Support benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries; liaise with benefit providers as needed.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and performance review cycles.
- Help investigate and resolve employee relations issues in collaboration with HR leadership.
- Generate HR reports and analytics for decision-making support.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation and data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 2–4 years of experience in a generalist HR role preferred.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
