The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations at the facility, reporting directly to the Executive Director with a dotted-line to the Corporate HR Director. This role includes managing onboarding, credentialing, employee relations, compliance, and supporting organizational goals through effective HR leadership.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site HR leader, ensuring all human resources activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Act as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and department heads to foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture
- Personally manage the full onboarding process for all employees, including clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Coordinate and manage full-cycle onboarding, from offer letter to Day 1 orientation
- Prepare and send offer letters and ensure timely collection of signed documents
- Conduct employment verifications and reference checks
- Process and monitor background checks, including criminal, OIG, child abuse, and drug screening
- Ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed (licenses, certifications, TB test, physicals, etc.)
- Collect and verify all onboarding paperwork and I-9 documentation
- Oversee provider credentialing processes: initial appointments, reappointments, and updates
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Collaborate with Corporate HR on policy updates, benefits administration, payroll processes, and system changes
- Maintain personnel files, credentialing records, and HR documentation
- Ensure compliance with mandatory trainings, licensure tracking, health screenings, and onboarding requirements
- Participate in hospital leadership meetings and contribute to workforce planning, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required); HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1–2 years in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR independently in a mid-sized organization or facility
- Knowledge of provider credentialing processes and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
