Reporting to the Manager of Employee Training, the Human Services Training Specialist will develop and deliver educational sessions to Humanim employees, including new hire orientation, and other employee training as assigned, toward the goal of promoting a high standard of performance among the workforces.
The Human Services Training Specialist will work closely with the Manager of Employee Training to support the administration of an effective employee training program, including maintaining training schedules, assuring relevant communications with employees, and maintaining training and certification records.

- Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a behavioral health or developmental disabilities organization.
- Current demonstrable knowledge of techniques and best practices for service delivery to individuals with Developmental Disabilities and/or Behavioral Health conditions.
- Proven record of conducting effective instructor led training to large and small groups using a variety of methods to accommodate adult learners.
- Demonstrable ability to convey concepts and processes clearly and effectively.
- Personal qualities of integrity, reliability, flexibility, and unwavering commitment to Humanim’s mission; ability to demonstrate and elicit enthusiasm from employees, and to promote the values of the employee training program.
- Technology savvy with proficiency in MS Office applications; proficiency in basic visual design in the development of electronic materials; experience with using virtual platforms for training presentations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Position requires a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours required.
- Use of personal vehicle, MD driver’s license with fewer than 5 points, and valid auto insurance required. This position requires commuting to multiple job site locations.
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
- Ability to relate well to staff, individuals, board members, and all relevant stakeholders of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and religions required.
