Overview:

As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding and training program in support of our Federal client. You will work as part of a cross-functional team—including designers and technical experts—engaging with stakeholders and end-users to develop an effective approach and ensure adoption of new systems and processes.

Contributions:
Responsibilities:
  • Outline and understand end users to create training appropriate to meet their diverse needs
  • Analyze existing training materials and business processes to identify learning gaps/needs and opportunities for improvement
  • Research appropriate learning content and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to structure learning paths
  • Develop interactive and engaging training materials using a variety of modalities (videos, user guides, gamified learning, etc.) with learner theories in mind (ADDIE, Bloom’s, SAM, etc.) to create dynamic learning experiences
  • Determine utilization of knowledge checks and compliance tracking
  • Lead the training development and delivery
  • Establish metrics and measure user adoption
  • Facilitate learning management system administration, usage, and develop feedback loop for enhancement
  • Consider long-term governance for sustaining training programs and materials
Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance
  • 4+ years of experience in Education, Training, HR, or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of the full training life cycle and demonstrated ability to develop and implement
  • Knowledge of contemporary learning management software platforms
  • Experience with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
  • Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand
  • Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary delivery team including UX/UI designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, solution architects, and change managers
  • A collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking and a natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skills
  • Experience working in a project-based environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ total years of experience or equivalent experience in Training and Instructional Design and education
  • Must be able to travel across US (10%)

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
