Looking for an exciting industry to grow your unique skills in upholstery and interior work? Wisconsin Aviation is looking for a specialist to work with our airplane interiors. This role includes design, sewing, upholstery, and fabricating airplane interiors according to customer specifications and Wisconsin Aviation approved procedures. We bring new life by repair and refurbish of aircraft interiors. Our services include minor repairs to complete customized interior replacements. The work flow varies and we use a variety of fabrics and some plastic molding inside the aircraft, including (but not limited to) seats, headliners, carpets and interior panels.
Wisconsin Aviation’s interiors department is expanding. We are looking for the right attitude to meet and exceed our customer’s needs and wants in their aircraft interior designs, with the ability to offer skills and creativity. This position will provide our customers with the exceptional service they are accustomed to receiving when working with Wisconsin Aviation. This is a hands-on position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of relevant experience or vocational degree
- Working knowledge of material work, interiors (not necessarily aircraft) required
- Experience in work with various fabrics, leathers and materials for upholstery work
- Working knowledge using various tools (spray guns, sanders, grinders, saws, drill press, sewing machines, etc.)
- Aircraft, automotive, and/or marine upholstery experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license
- Subject to FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Program
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to multitask
- Works in confined spaces, varying temperatures, in and around aircraft and noise levels associated with aircraft maintenance
- Ability to read and follow directions, blueprints and engineering drawings
- Physical: Routinely lifts up to 30 lbs., reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates working in confined spaces; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
- Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
- Strong attention to high quality, detailed work
- Patience and willingness to perform repetitive routines
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work unrestricted in the United States as a citizen/permanent resident
- Operates with FAA regulations as they pertain to aircraft interior
- Able to work occasional overtime and weekends, as position demands

Benefits available 1st of the month following or coinciding with 30 days employment, Paid Time Off after 6 months, Holiday pay after 90 days, pay and increases are based on experience and performance.
