Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
- Conduct industrial cleaning in designated areas as required.
- Carry out floor care procedures, including stripping, waxing, and sealing.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Skills
- Proficient in buffing techniques and floor care practices.
- Experience in industrial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of custodial best practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Ability to perform residential painting as needed.
- Experience as a porter or in commercial cleaning roles is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
