Laundry Attendant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/ standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Receive and sort dirty linen and trash as required
- Complete the Laundry Checklist/ Tracker Log for all linen processed during shift
- Inspect condition of cleaned linen processed; resolve any discrepancies
- Organize and stock all clean room linen in designated areas, shelves
- Remove substandard hotel linens from circulating inventory
- Report all shortages, damages, maintenance requests, problems and linen availability to manager
- Monitor and maintain the clean and orderly condition of Laundry; ensure security of all hotel property
- Monitor and maintain designated supply levels
- Promote positive relations with guests and employees
- Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to Supervisor or designated person
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Interact courteously and professionally with guests and staff members
- Be well organized
- Perform job functions without constant direct supervision
- The ability to bend, stand, and be stationary for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Endure physical movement throughout the work areas
- Willingness to share in working weekends and holidays
