The Outage Planner will work closely with the Client’s engineering and operations teams to ensure the scope of the outage plan for the project is completed satisfactorily. Specifically, EIG’s Outage Planner will:
- Review the established project outage assessments & requirements.
- Organize an outage kick-off meeting at the site, or in conjunction with other planned site visits, along with various follow-up meetings to establish scope and conceptual work schedule and process.
- Develop high-level preliminary outage plans for the transmission line rebuild and reconductoring to 345kV.
- Work with the Client team in the development of the Outage Plan.
- Hold on-site and office meetings to review physical layout, work clearance, and outages required.
- Coordinate the Project outage requirements with other area outage requirements to resolve, mitigate, and minimize any outage conflicts.
- Confirm the plan alignment with other ongoing Client projects.
- Determine load requirements for various outage seasons.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in transmission and distribution dispatching, overhead line or substation construction supervision, operation and maintenance of electric transmission, substation, and distribution facilities, and a strong understanding of the applicable construction standards, operating procedures, and work methods.
- Knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, local, and applicable environmental rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with self-direction and high motivation.
- The ability to understand construction field issues, prints, specification sheets, schematics, one-line diagrams, and instructional information to construct, maintain, and troubleshoot electric transmission and distribution lines, and substation equipment.
