Lead Plant Operator – Shreveport Facility
Location: 437 Fortson Street, Shreveport, LA 71107
Pay Rate: $28+/hour (non-negotiable)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Every other Saturday required | Flexible start/end times available

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Lead Plant Operator for our Shreveport Facility. This is a solo operator position responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant, with offsite support from the Regional Director and Plant Manager. You will serve as the primary on-site lead overseeing all treatment operations, maintenance, scheduling, compliance, and reporting duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor daily treatment processes and plant operations
- Perform site upkeep including cleaning and landscaping (mowing, trimming)
- Schedule and coordinate effluent testing and submit results to proper authorities
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance, including light plumbing
- Maintain and manage inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies
- Track plant performance data and operational records using Microsoft Excel
- Schedule outbound grease loads and coordinate with drivers
- Monitor and manage site budget
- Serve as the main point of contact for the site; work Saturdays as needed for truck handling or project oversight

Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined with a strong focus on safety and compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of plant operation
- Basic computer skills required; Excel knowledge is a strong plus
- Must be reachable by phone during off-hours/weekends for urgent issues
- Must have reliable transportation for occasional parts/equipment pickup
Work Environment:
The Lead Plant Operator is the sole operator assigned to the Shreveport facility, but will work alongside the Transport Manager and regularly interact with drivers delivering and offloading at the site. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance daily operational tasks with administrative responsibilities.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
