Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to estate planning and immigration law.
- Conduct thorough research on legal issues and case law to support ongoing cases.
- Review and transcribe documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for case preparation.
- Manage phone communications with clients, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Utilize PCLaw software for document management and billing processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of estate planning and immigration law is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with PCLaw or similar legal management software is a plus.
