SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to serve in our legal department. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in legal and contract support who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys being part of a small, close-knit team. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting litigation and contract review efforts, while also acting as a trusted deputy to the General Counsel, helping manage legal operations and priorities across the legal team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

Litigation Support

  • Assist with case management, including drafting demand letters and pleadings, tracking deadlines, submitting filings, and court dates.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding litigation status.
  • Organize and maintain litigation files and discovery materials, including document productions and deposition coordination.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence

Contract Management

  • Review and revise client-side contracts (including NDAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, etc.).
  • Maintain and update the contract management system.
  • Track contract lifecycles, renewals, and compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate contract approvals and signatures.

General Legal Support

  • Act as a deputy to the General Counsel, helping manage legal workflows and priorities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and legal summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of findings.
  • Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Support corporate licensing registrations and renewals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a legal assistant, legal operations, or transactional role.
  • Experience in both litigation and transactional legal support is essential.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work quickly and accurately with close attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in legal support technologies (LexisNexis, Diligence, PACER).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team of 5.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

COMPENSATION

Salary range is $60,000 - $72,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
