What this job involves: As a Maintenance Compliance Analyst at JLL, you will serve as a critical guardian of our maintenance operations, ensuring all activities meet established standards and regulatory requirements. This role combines technical expertise with analytical precision to drive continuous improvement in our maintenance processes across Northern Illinois. You will be the bridge between operational excellence and compliance adherence, contributing directly to JLL's reputation for delivering transformative real estate solutions while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Travel to reporting centers throughout Northern Illinois to conduct on-site assessments and audits of maintenance practices
- Monitor and analyze maintenance logs, CMMS work orders, and performance metrics to ensure compliance with established standards
- Develop and maintain accurate equipment metadata, including manufacturer details, model numbers, serial numbers, and system structure information
- Create and revise maintenance-related policies, procedures, and preventive maintenance plans to align with regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities and findings
- Collaborate with facilities teams, management, and external authorities to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Support the scheduling, planning, and closure of work orders while ensuring data accuracy and proper documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance operations, compliance, or facilities management
- Strong understanding of CMMS systems and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards (OSHA, building codes, equipment standards)
- Proven analytical skills with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and assess operational risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training purposes
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout Northern Illinois
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in facilities management (CFM, FMP) or maintenance-related fields
- Experience with preventive maintenance program development and implementation
- Background in materials management and spare parts inventory control
- Familiarity with performance indicator metrics and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience conducting training sessions and developing educational materials
- Knowledge of cost reduction strategies and vendor management practices
